IROS 2018 IN 3 DAYS

In 3 days going to be held IROS 2018 (IEEE/RSJ International Conference on Intelligent Robots and Systems).

I am very excited to have an opportunity to be there and participating at the sixth Humanoid Application Challenge.

This year’s theme is going to be once again “Robot Magic”, and our entry is doing strong combinations of vision, machine learning, speech understanding, gesture recognition, and human-robot interaction to perform a magic act that involved several tricks and interaction with the audience. This year we have something special to present involving true AR & Smart UDP communication.

I and other computer science student Louis worked really hard for the past 6 months and now I can’t wait to show what we developed.

All of these wouldn’t be possible without our supervisors John Anderson, Meng Cheng Lau and Kyle Morris.

Big Thank You to our Bronze Sponsor JCA Electronics

And to ECE (Electrical And Computer Engineering) && Computer Science department of the University of Manitoba.

Meanwhile here’s qualification footage for Robot Magic IROS 2018. Additionally, you can check out the last year competition results IROS 2017
